Terms of Service

Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Colette ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Colette is a product of Graham Alembic LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

What Colette Is

Colette is a native Apple terminal application that provides a graphical interface for AI command-line tools (Claude CLI, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Ollama), with additional features including project management, priority tracking, voice interaction, and multi-device sync. Colette is an independent product and is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any AI provider.

Requirements

To use Colette, you need:

  • A Mac running macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
  • At least one AI CLI installed and authenticated (Claude CLI, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, or Ollama)

You are responsible for maintaining your AI provider accounts and any costs associated with their usage. We have no control over any provider's pricing, availability, or service.

Your Data

Colette runs locally on your device. Your project files, settings, and context data are stored on your Mac and your other Apple devices via sync. We do not operate servers, and we do not have access to your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

When you interact with a cloud AI provider through the App, your conversation data is sent directly to that provider's servers. This is governed by each provider's respective terms of service. The app requests explicit consent before transmitting data to any third-party AI service.

Command Execution

Colette can execute terminal commands on your behalf through Claude CLI. The App is designed to require your explicit approval before executing commands. However, you are ultimately responsible for reviewing and approving any commands that run on your system. We are not liable for any damage resulting from commands you approve.

Hosted Mac Workspaces

Colette may offer the ability to connect to remote Mac workspaces for development. When using hosted workspaces, your code and project data are transmitted to and processed on remote infrastructure. Additional terms may apply to hosted workspace services.

Pricing

The Colette Mac app is free. Companion apps for iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch may have a purchase price set through the Apple App Store. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or services in the future, with advance notice.

Intellectual Property

Colette and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Graham Alembic LLC. The App is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. "Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC. "OpenAI" and "Codex" are trademarks of OpenAI, Inc. "Gemini" is a trademark of Google LLC. Apple, Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Your data is yours. We claim no ownership or rights over any content you create, store, or process through Colette.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Colette is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Graham Alembic LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of Colette.

Third-Party Services

Colette integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (Claude CLI), OpenAI (Codex CLI), Google (Gemini CLI), Ollama, ElevenLabs, and Deepgram. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.

Termination

You may stop using Colette at any time by uninstalling the App. Since we don't have accounts or servers, there is nothing to cancel. Your local data remains on your device until you delete it.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
